What are the responisbilities of an alumni affliate?

I am currently applying to college and am close to someone who graduated from one of my top choice schools. I am considering making her one of my "alumni affiliations". What type things would she have to do after I declare her as my affiliation? Is it a big deal or work for her? I don't think I want to do it if the school is going to badger her. I just want them to know that I know an alumnus and they kind of encouraged me in my choice.
