1. It means you graduated. You are now an Alumni of that school.
2. Alumni is the plural of alumnus (male) and/or alumna (female), persons who had graduated or attended an institution. For example, a man who graduated from the University of Florida is an alumnus, a woman who graduated from the University of Florida is an alumna, together they are alumni. Technically, a group of alumna are alumnae.
3. This word is derived from the Old Latin word : "alumnus" The plural form is alumni. The definition of the word therefore means students or old students and is more used in the meaning of someone who ended his/her studies.
