Is there such a career that combines business and information technology? I really love technology and am currently pursuing a degree in information technology. However, I also love studying and learning more about economics, investing, finance and business in general. Is there such a career that would allow me to have the best of both worlds? I'd like to be involved in both technology and the daily financial management of a corporation or even be a part of the world of investing?
Will I be able to pursue a career in Health Information Technology if I have Hepatitis B and have 3 misdemeano I am currently enrolled at the community college and wanted to know if I would be able to work in Health Information Technology if I had hepatitis B and 3 misdemeanor for issuance of bad check. The misdemeanors was from 2001. I have no other criminal record and it was 6 years ago! Will I be denied of the position. I always disclosed my record to my employers and noone realy seems to mind but I know that working in a hospital can be alittle more difficult. If I will have to work harder at it then its no problem but I just don't want to take all my courses and be denied of my certification.

Do you think it would be worth investing time & money in learning a computing skill when I hear that a lot of jobs go to people from India etc, who are prepared to work well below the going rate?

Information technology career...? I completed my degree and applied for a job with a government organization. I studied Economics. I got put into the IT department. I know very little about information technology apart from general knowledge sort of stuff. I know of computing languages and networking but the only direct knowledge I have is of C++. I listed on my resume that I have a recreational interest (which I do). Other than that I am thinking ' how the heck did I end up in IT'. I don't mind. I find it exciting and I want to learn everything I can. Especially about programming. But how does that happen ?
Information Technology Career Outlook? Alright, I'm in a com. college. I really, am unsure of what "real" career I would want in the future that I'd enjoy (since game maker seemed to become a popular in the past few years). So my listed major is IT Support. Though, I was just wondering about other jobs in the IT field and their current state..like for: Network Administrator?Computer Engineer?Software Engineer?Tech Support ? Are these jobs reaching an overstrengthed occupation level? Any personal experience on finding a job after college with these jobs? How much math do I really need to know to be a Computer Engineer or Software Engineer?

I enjoy working on computers, and would like to get paid working with them. My old roommate does IT work and makes good money. Are there any schools that I can go to to learn? I will probably move back to the SF Bay area, so if anyone knows of any schools up there please let me know.
Careers and pay in Information Technology? Hi, i'm looking to get a couple questions answered. I'm taking an Information Technology program at a community college, when i finish I'll have a an A.A.S in Information Tech (two year degree). The program also includes testing for certification, so i'll have A+, Network+, and microsoft office 2007 hopefully. Given these things, what kinds of jobs am I looking at? p.s. I'm not planning on getting a bachealors degree, given the economy, the last thing i need is $100,000+ of debt, so i'm fine with community college for ~$3,500 a year.
Highest Paying Career in Information Technology? I know that people say don't get a job based on the pay but I like pretty much everything involving computers. I tried to reply to you but it wouldn't go through. I will definitely look into those....thanks again!
